Prudvi Krishna: A Journey of Entrepreneurship and Impact

In the vibrant city of Hyderabad, where the aroma of biryani fills the air and tradition blends effortlessly with modern progress, Prudvi Krishna embarked on a dynamic entrepreneurial journey, leaving a lasting impact on the startups he founded and the companies he collaborated with. Over the years, his relentless drive to create meaningful ventures has equipped him with invaluable experience across industries and roles.

2020 - 2021: Founding Swipeway and Scapehouse

While completing the final year of his MBA, Prudvi identified a gap in the creative industries and founded Swipeway in March 2020. The platform aimed to bridge the gap between creative professionals and individuals aspiring to pursue careers in fields like filmmaking and production. As the founder, he led a team of 10, conducted market research, and designed UI/UX using Adobe. The platform gained early traction, attracting users and partnerships with production houses.

However, due to market uncertainties and financial constraints, Swipeway pivoted in September 2021 to become Scapehouse, a platform showcasing portfolios of photographers and writers. In this phase, Prudvi honed his networking skills, explored fundraising processes, and collaborated with creative professionals. Despite the closure of Scapehouse due to funding challenges, the journey instilled resilience and taught him the fundamentals of startup growth.

2022 - 2023: Exploring the F&B Space

In March 2022, Prudvi co-founded a cloud kitchen with friends, specializing in authentic biryani cuisine. As CEO, he gained firsthand experience in managing operations, marketing, customer surveys, vendor relations, and cash flow management. Within a year, the venture achieved ₹1 crore in revenue, demonstrating Prudvi’s ability to scale a business successfully. Unfortunately, conflicts among co-founders led to its closure.

Determined to address industry challenges, Prudvi launched DreamKitchensInd in June 2023, focusing on increasing restaurant revenues through digital kitchen solutions. Within a month, the platform onboarded 15 paying clients and was selected for an accelerator program. Recognizing the greater impact and profitability potential of consulting, the company pivoted to a consulting model. This experience deepened Prudvi’s understanding of the F&B sector and strategic decision-making.

2023 - Present: Transition to Investments and Leadership

In September 2023, Prudvi was offered the role of Investment and Strategy Analyst by an angel investor to help establish a new venture capital fund. In this role, he contributed to policy design, investment theses, market analysis, and founder relations. He worked closely with startups, advising on go-to-market strategies, pitch preparation, and fundraising, while screening potential investments for growth potential.

In February 2024, Prudvi joined an e-commerce startup as Co-founder and Head of Investments, Marketing, Strategy, and Operations. Within the first month of launch, he successfully secured ₹30 lakh in pre-seed funding, followed by ₹2.5 crore of seed fundsfund iin additional funding within 10 months. As Head of Marketing, Prudvi drove remarkable social media engagement, achieving 7 million views for the startup's content.

This role provided him with the opportunity to craft and implement marketing strategies, streamline operations, develop efficient systems, and nurture investor relationships. He also played a pivotal role in launching products, gaining early market traction, and building a high-performing team of 20 members.
