schedule, book and a high quality professional comes to you to provide a standardised, high

quality and fixed price service. The following are our large categories – Salon, Mens Grooming,

Wellness, Appliance Repairs, Cleaning, Handymen, Home painting, and Pest control. Over the

last 4 years we have built a network of 50,000+ trained service professionals, and served over 2

million customers across major metropolitan cities of India, UAE, Australia and Singapore.


Company’s Vision:

Urban Company’s vision is to empower 1 million+ service professionals worldwide, to deliver

services at home, like never experienced before. Prior to joining Urban Company, most of our

Service Partners would typically earn INR 15-25k per month, working for a local shop,

aggregator or as a freelancer.



The Urban Company platform enables these professionals to become micro-entrepreneurs by

helping them in 5 key areas –

Branding and Customer Access: Working as an individual franchisee of Urban Company

Financing Access : Opening bank accounts, access to loans, insurance etc.

Tech Led Service Standardization : Standardizing the service - creating SKUs, fixed and transparent pricing, clear service deliverables, defined SOPs, delivery tracking, payment systems, reviews etc., to help remove friction from the service experience

Training: So and Core Skills Training imparted in our training centers and via the app

Consumables Supply Chain : Purchasing consumables needed for service delivery in bulk This helps service professionals become more organized and multiplies their earnings. E.g. - Our beauticians typically earn INR 40-50k per month with no upper ceiling (Many earn > INR 100k per month), while in the local salons, they would earn between INR 8-15k per month


Scale of Operations:

Urban Company serves approximately 700,000 customers every month, for a variety of their

home services needs. It is present in all major metropolitan cities of India, and has also

ventured into UAE,Australia, and Singapore.


Cluster Lead Role:

Our business is executed by small high powered teams for each sub-vertical handling all

aspects of business for a cluster of 3-4 cities. This team is led by a Cluster Lead. The right

individual should have a combination of sharp analytical decision making, sound business

judgement, robust result driven execution and creative iterative business building

A Cluster Lead would typically oversee a team of 7-8 Senior Category Managers, Category

Managers, and Trainers and be responsible for all aspects of operations of 1,000-2,000 UC

partners.



What are you expected to do?

Independently own and build all aspects of UC’s business across your vertical -building the supply chain across selection, training and onboarding of professionals; daily operations; quality of service; user growth and expansion

Grow the marketplace while optimising multiple opposing factors like service availability and supply utilisation; scaling user growth while improving operational excellence and quality of service

Build, coach and lead a high performance team across business development, skill training and growth

Collaborate across multiple central teams including functional specialists and business category teams to ensure coherence and other regional teams to share/learn best practices

Drive user growth through local marketing initiatives, partnerships as well as localising the offering/pricing for your market


In a nutshell the Cluster Lead is expected to completely own and drive the business, the

team and make all decisions for the city cluster. If being a lynchpin of an organization and

What are we looking for?

4-6 years of experience in a high growth operations based startup, FMCG or other consumer companies, or consulting

High sense of ownership and a penchant for excellence

Prior experience in operations or category management a bonus
